Bramnick: Hecklers do not represent majority who support Governor’s years of reform.

Assembly Republican Leader Jon Bramnick, R-Union, Morris and Somerset, issued the following statement regarding individuals attending Gov. Christie’s town hall meetings who have attempted to disrupt the meetings by interrupting the governor.

“The few hecklers certainly don’t represent the overwhelming majority of New Jerseyans who supported the governor in last November’s election.

“The Christie reform agenda is more important than hecklers who want to disrupt town hall meetings. The hecklers have a right to protest, but we should view the governor’s policies in comparison with the previous years of inaction.

“The hecklers should consider the issues that plagued New Jersey for a decade before Governor Christie assumed office, including high property taxes and a government that would not address public employee health and pension costs.

“Can we stay in perspective or do we judge people on a day to day basis? Do we judge a leader’s success by 10 hecklers at a meeting?”
